Who we are.

Aura ("the App", "we", "our", "us") is an AI companion application for iPhone. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Aura, you agree to the practices described here.

What we collect.

Account information

When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email address and basic identifier. We do not see or store your password. If you sign in with Apple's "Hide My Email" feature, we only see Apple's relay address.

Profile preferences

• Your chosen name and companion name
• Selected avatar and voice preferences
• Personality preferences and language settings

Conversation data

To provide responses, your messages are sent to AI providers (Google Gemini for chat, ElevenLabs for voice synthesis). Conversation history is stored on our servers (Supabase) so you can continue conversations across sessions.

Optional integrations

• Calendar: If you grant access, Aura reads your iPhone calendar to help schedule events. Calendar data is processed locally and only sent to AI providers when you explicitly ask Aura to interact with your calendar.
• Email (Gmail): If you connect Gmail, Aura reads recent emails to help you triage and respond. Email content is sent to AI providers only when relevant to your request.
• Location: If you grant access, your approximate location is used to personalise weather and local information.
• Microphone: Used for voice input. Audio is converted to text on your device and never recorded or stored.

Technical data

We may collect basic device information (iOS version, app version, anonymous usage data) to diagnose crashes and improve performance.

How we use it.

• To provide AI companion conversations and personalised responses
• To remember context across your sessions
• To process subscriptions and account access
• To improve Aura's performance and fix bugs
• To respond to your support requests

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or training third-party AI models.

Who we share with.

We only share data with service providers necessary to make Aura work:

• Supabase: secure database hosting (account, conversation history, preferences)
• Google Gemini: AI processing for conversations
• ElevenLabs: voice synthesis for spoken responses
• Apple: sign-in authentication and subscription processing
• Google: sign-in authentication (if you choose this option)

These providers are contractually obligated to handle your data securely and only for the purposes of providing their service.

We never sell your data. We never share it for advertising.

Where it lives.

Conversation data is stored on Supabase servers. Your iPhone calendar and email content are not stored on our servers — they are processed in real-time only when you make a relevant request.

All data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Data at rest is encrypted by our service providers.

Children.

Aura is rated 4+ but is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has used Aura, please contact us and we will remove the relevant data.

Your rights.

You have the right to:

• Access your data — request a copy of what we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent for optional integrations at any time

You can clear conversation memory at any time within the app. To request full account deletion, email aura.minacruz@gmail.com — we'll handle it within 7 days.

Cookies.

This support website uses minimal cookies for basic functionality. The Aura app itself does not use tracking cookies or web analytics.

Updates.

We may update this Privacy Policy as Aura evolves. We will notify you of material changes via the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision.
